SAML Based SSO (Single-Sign-On)
Zoho provides a SAML-based Single Sign-On (SSO) service that provides partner companies control of authentication and authorization of user accounts that can access the Zoho's applications like Zoho Docs or Zoho Mail. Using the SAML model, Zoho acts as the service provider and partner companies act as Identity Providers.
Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) is an XML standard for exchanging user authentication, entitlement, and attribute information. The purpose of SAML is to enable Single Sign-On for web applications across various domains and authenticate users who are trying to access secure content.
